About Delilah & The Conscious Conscience

I’m a Catholic writer and pseudo-educator exploring faith, justice, and truth in a complex world. My path runs from a turbulent childhood and foster care to years of parish ministry in Georgia—youth director, parish coordinator, and more. Name a hat, I probably wore it. In the midst of raising my children and navigating serious health challenges, I kept learning, including short studies at Franciscan University and through self study, fueled by an intense desire to know and feel as much as possible. I’ve seen both the beauty of authentic faith and the failures of institutions that weaponize it.

Today I create work that illuminates truth, challenges distortions of the Gospel, and calls us back to human dignity, solidarity, and the common good. I never intended to stand as voice for the Church, but I always intended to help people. Now here I am, at the cross hairs of that very idea. I hope you enjoy the adventure as much as I will. 

 

Guiding Principles:

• Human dignity from conception to natural death—and throughout life in policy and practice.

• The common good over factional gain (Gaudium et Spes).

• Preferential option for the poor and marginalized.

• Stewardship of creation as moral duty.

• Truth before tribe: no cherry-picking Church teaching for politics.

 

What I Don’t Do:

I don’t take cues from former or current Catholics who warp the faith to fit a partisan script or reduce “pro-life” to a single issue while ignoring the Church’s broader moral vision.
